We all, every one of us come from a solid foundation.  Some foundations are filled with love and encouragement and some are filled with self doubt and loneliness. They’re all a bit unique. And we don’t get to choose which one we get. But each of them is solid and solidifies certain beliefs and thought patterns within us. And from those foundations, we are set on paths that are laid out before us. And as we travel along these paths, growing and experiencing the terrain, we come to intersections and cross roads. Often, it can be really hard to choose whether to take a different path or to stay on the one you’re on. But, how lucky, to be faced with choice. Go with the unknown? Or stay in the familiar? We’re usually told ‘follow your path’, like there’s only one. But sometimes, the path you’re on leads nowhere but backwards, to that foundation. And if your foundation is full of positivity and love and all the good stuff, then that can be a beautiful thing. But if your foundation is a bit darker or if you’ve grown away from the foundation that was laid out for you, you don’t really want to go back there.  Maybe you’ve been back there already and you’ve seen it differently. Maybe there’s nothing left there for you. Either way, you have the choice to take a new path, if you want to. Sometimes, it’s essential. Sometimes, without changing direction, you’ve got nothing left. Sometimes, walking the same path is just fucking boring. So change it up. There’s no wrong way and you can always turn around and go back.  But if you’re curious, you’ll never know what’s along that path or where it will lead to if you don’t take it. Ya know?
